Program Coordinator, Youth Center

Sheltering Arms is currently seeking Program Coordinator that would be responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the Far Rockaway Youth Center, the supervision of center staff and will ensure that quality service delivery is provided.
Essential Functions
Supervise, train and provide guidance and coaching for staff
Oversee extensive outreach efforts by way of street outreach, contact with local schools, faith-based and community-based organizations, human service providers and other community stakeholders and leaders.
Ensure that youth who engage in activities at the youth center will receive an intake evaluation and be assigned a caseworker.
Develop opportunities within and outside of the youth center for mental health services, medical services, benefit screening, tutoring, mentorship, employment, recreational and any other services that the youth may require.
Ensure a wide array of Linkage Agreements and partnerships are fostered as external resources so that the needs presented by the youth and their families can be met.
Review progress notes on each client and conduct progress assessments
Track client progress, contract deliverables and reporting data internally and externally
Conduct evaluation and monitoring activities to ensure program quality and integrity
Ensure all program objectives are met in a timely manner
Submit reports to supervisor and funding sources as required
Ensure all program supplies; client food and transportation are ordered and available
Attend ongoing training and other technical assistance or professional development activities identified by immediate supervisor and Safe Space
All other relevant duties as delegated by supervisor
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, LMSW and at least 2 years' experience in related field required.
Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining community partnerships.
Knowledge of and history with Far Rockaway community strongly preferred.
Knowledge of and history working with youth and providing services consistent with positive youth development principals.
Ability to use print and social media to publicize program.
Ability to collaborate as part of a team

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
