Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children.
- Support the lead teacher in creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Help supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and other daily activities.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation of materials for classroom activities.
- Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social interactions among children.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Experience or education in childhood development, preschool, or childcare is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of lesson planning techniques and ability to assist in implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of children and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
